Dedupely vs Insycle for Pipedrive (and when you need neither)

By · Last updated

Pick Dedupely if you want to merge in bulk or automatically across people, organizations, deals, leads and products, with an undo for most of its own merges for 30 days and a lower starting price ($40 a month). Pick Insycle if you want to see the whole result in a CSV before anything changes, with detailed rules and wider data cleanup (phone formats, bulk updates, imports), knowing it has no undo and starts at $100 a month billed yearly. If you only have a handful of duplicate people or organizations, you need neither: Pipedrive's own Merge duplicates is free and enough.

Compared from each vendor's public pages on November 2, 2026; we didn't create accounts. Native results tested in a Pipedrive sandbox. What we couldn't verify.

About Marketplace reviews: on November 2, 2026 both listings gave two different review counts. Dedupely's review tab said 123 and the page's structured data said 188. Insycle's said 5 and 23. We left the counts out of the table for that reason.

Dedupely in detail

What it does well. It covers the most Pipedrive records, including leads and products, which Dedupely merges itself (Pipedrive guide, updated October 30, 2026). Pipedrive lets you merge two leads by hand, but the other lead is deleted on the spot (how lead merges work), and it has no merge for products. Matching is set field by field. "Similar" on phones strips formatting and country code and compares "the core seven digits" (Match Options). That catches format differences. Our own reading, not a reported problem: seven digits could also pair numbers from different countries or area codes, so check phone-only matches.

Dedupely Intelligence is a matching engine with no setup, on by default for contacts, companies and leads. Dedupely says your records are "never sent to an AI model" (Dedupely Intelligence, updated October 30, 2026).

Auto Merge can run continuously or on a schedule. Auto Match only emails you the matches (Auto Merge). Safety settings set aside matches with more than 20 records and placeholder data, and Auto Merge leaves them alone (Merge Safety). Merge History logs every merge, who or what ran it, and exports to CSV (Merge History, updated October 30, 2026).

The undo, exactly. Since October 28, 2026 you can undo a merge from Merge History for 30 days (Undo a Merge, updated October 30, 2026). What that page says:

  • It recreates the absorbed records with their earlier data and links. Outside Salesforce they come back with new IDs, so links and integrations that used the old ID don't follow.
  • It doesn't bring back values edited after the merge, read-only values like the created date, or list and workflow membership. A recreated record can trigger workflows for new records.
  • It doesn't cover Pipedrive products or merges made before October 28, 2026.
  • It's meant for records that weren't duplicates, not for changing which values won.
  • Dedupely itself advises: "treat every merge as permanent".

It only covers merges Dedupely made. Its Pipedrive guide says "Pipedrive's own merges can't be undone", and we found nothing about undoing merges made by hand or by another app. One difference we noticed: in our sandbox, Pipedrive keeps a merged person, organization or deal inactive for 30 days with the same ID. Dedupely's page says its undo recreates the record instead. We don't know why it chose that.

Price. Starter is $40 a month, or $384 a year ($32 a month), for 30,000 records. Basic is $80 for 60,000 and Pro $140 for 120,000 (Pricing, updated October 28, 2026). It counts synced records of the objects you turn on, not merges or users. Bulk merges are unlimited on every paid plan, but the full Intelligence engine is only on yearly plans.

Some comparisons published before late October 2026 say Dedupely has no unmerge, or list it at $19 a month or less. Both were out of date on November 2, 2026.

Insycle in detail

What it does well. Preview mode simulates the whole merge in a CSV it emails you: each group, the master record and the values kept. In Insycle's words, "Nothing merges until the mode changes" (Insycle deduplication). You can save a cleanup as a template and schedule it. For Pipedrive, Insycle's own page says "automation means schedules", without triggers (Insycle for Pipedrive).

Rules go deep. The master record follows a priority list, such as most recent activity, then highest open deal value, then first created. Those examples are from its deduplication page. Each field can have its own rule (Merge Duplicates Overview). By default it skips groups of more than 5 records, and you can raise that to 100 (Merging Duplicates FAQs).

It's also more than a merge tool. Transform Data puts phones in one format, such as E.164. Bulk Operations updates "any field" you can write to. Magical Import matches a CSV against existing records so an import updates them instead of adding duplicates (Bulk Operations Overview; Magical Import).

No undo. Insycle's FAQ says it plainly: "There is no undo button." It leans on the CSV preview and the before-values in each run's report, and suggests merging small groups. For bulk updates, the old values live in the Activity Tracker CSV. Insycle has a restore article for Salesforce merges; we found nothing like it for Pipedrive.

Price. At 100,000 records, billed yearly: Starter $100 a month (1 module), Growth $150 (2 modules), Professional $200 (all modules) (pricing). To merge and also reformat phones or bulk update, you need Growth or above. The page doesn't show prices at other record counts or monthly billing. Insycle's Pipedrive Marketplace listing still mentions a free plan for up to 5,000 records; the pricing page doesn't offer one.

Pipedrive's own Merge duplicates, and its limits

Merge duplicates, under Tools and apps, is free. It lists pairs of people and organizations, shows a preview and merges one pair at a time (Merge duplicates, updated September 3, 2026).

What we measured in a sandbox in October and November 2026:

  • It found 1 pair where our own scan found 14. It never checks deals. It missed 240-707-3884 against 2407073884, "Gómez" against "Gomez" and "Moveer Ltd" against "Moveer Limited". The rules can be edited, but they still compare exact values.
  • A deal merge drops the other deal's value. Merging a 1,000 deal with a 1,500 deal kept 1,000.
  • The owner changes without notice. The kept deal took the primary's owner. The other salesperson got no notification, stayed on as a follower and saw one deal fewer in their monthly stats.
  • It leaves no trace. The merge didn't appear in the kept deal's History or Changelog, and Restore data doesn't list merged records. Pipedrive says merged items "can't be un-merged".

The step-by-step is in how to merge duplicates in Pipedrive, and how to find what the native tool misses is in how to remove duplicates in Pipedrive.

What to check before any bulk merge

Before any bulk merge, with any tool:

  1. Deal value. Pipedrive keeps the primary's value. In Insycle or Dedupely, set a field rule for value, for example Insycle's highest open deal value or a Dedupely custom rule.
  2. Owner. In all three, the kept record takes the winning record's owner. Dedupely has a playbook for it (Merging Duplicates Without Breaking Ownership, updated October 30, 2026): show the owner in the Merge Preview, filter matches where owners differ, add rules so a former employee never wins, and send real conflicts to Manual Review. Insycle lets a field rule keep the master's owner (deduplication page). Our reading: neither page mentions a notice to the salesperson who loses the deal, and Pipedrive sent none in our sandbox, so tell them yourself.
  3. Followers. In our sandbox, Pipedrive added both records' followers together. Expect people following records they didn't before.
  4. History. Pipedrive's own history won't show the merge. Export the records first, and keep Dedupely's Merge History export or Insycle's run CSV.
  5. Start small. Run one owner's records first and check them against your export.

How to choose

  • A few dozen duplicate people or organizations: Pipedrive's own tool. Fix the pairs it misses by hand from the record's More menu.
  • Leads or products: Dedupely. Insycle doesn't merge them, and Pipedrive merges leads only by hand, one pair at a time, with no way back.
  • You want an undo: Dedupely, for its own merges, for 30 days, except products. Nothing undoes a native merge.
  • You want to see every change in a file before anything runs: Insycle.
  • Duplicates plus messy phones, bulk updates and imports: Insycle Growth or above, since it covers more than merging.
  • Budget under 30,000 records: Dedupely, at $40 a month or $32 billed yearly. Insycle doesn't publish its price below 100,000 records.
  • Around 100,000 records: the gap narrows. Insycle Starter is $100 a month billed yearly at 100,000 records. Dedupely Pro is $1,344 a year ($112 a month) for 120,000. Each counts records differently, so check yours on both.

Where Pipehand fits

Pipehand isn't available yet. It's in development as a replacement for Pipedrive's MCP. Dedupely and Insycle clean up Pipedrive from their own screen. Pipehand is designed for everyday edits, bulk changes and merges from your AI, with a field-by-field preview that shows deal value and owner changes, and approvals for the risky ones. On Growth and above, it will also undo merges it didn't make, including ones made by hand in Pipedrive or by another app. At launch, deals and leads won't merge on their own.

If you need a cleanup today, use one of the tools above.

If you want your AI to merge duplicates in Pipedrive with a preview and an undo, join the waitlist on pipehand.com.

What we couldn't verify

  • The actual preview screens of either tool. We only read their documentation.
  • Whether Dedupely's undo in Pipedrive brings back notes, activities, files and emails, and with which IDs.
  • Whether either tool notifies the salesperson who loses a deal in a merge. Neither page mentions it.
  • Whether Insycle has approvals by role or a review queue.
  • Insycle's prices at other record counts and on monthly billing.
  • Review text and dates on the Marketplace listings, which didn't load without a session.
  • Which Pipedrive plans include Merge duplicates.
  • We found no Reddit threads about either tool. We didn't use G2 or Capterra numbers, because we couldn't open those pages.

FAQ

Is Dedupely or Insycle better for Pipedrive?

Dedupely if you need leads or products, automatic merging, an undo for its own merges or a lower price under 30,000 records. Insycle if you want a full CSV preview before any change and also need to reformat phones, bulk update or match imports. For a few pairs, Pipedrive's free tool is enough.

Can Dedupely undo a merge in Pipedrive?

Yes, most of its own merges, for 30 days, since October 28, 2026. The records come back with new IDs. It doesn't cover Pipedrive products, earlier merges, merges made by hand or by other apps, or changing which values won. Dedupely still advises treating every merge as permanent.

Does Insycle have an undo?

No. Insycle's own page says "There is no undo button." It shows the full result in a CSV before anything changes, and each run's report keeps the before-values, so you could type them back by hand.

How much do Dedupely and Insycle cost?

On November 2, 2026, Dedupely started at $40 a month, or $384 a year, for 30,000 records. Insycle started at $100 a month billed yearly for 1 module at 100,000 records. Insycle's Marketplace listing still mentions a free plan, but its pricing page doesn't offer one.

Is there a free way to remove duplicates in Pipedrive?

Yes. Merge duplicates, under Tools and apps, is included. It finds people and organizations with exact matches and merges one pair at a time. It doesn't check deals, phone formats or accents, and a merge can't be undone.

Can I use Dedupely or Insycle from Claude or ChatGPT?

Not to clean your CRM. Dedupely has an MCP and an API, but for its free CSV tools, not for working in Pipedrive. We found no API or MCP for Insycle. Pipedrive's official MCP can read and edit records, but none of its 51 tools merges.
