Does Pipedrive have an MCP server? Pipedrive's official MCP vs Pipehand

By Tomi · Last updated

Yes. Pipedrive has an official MCP server, announced on June 30, 2026, at https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp. It's included in every Pipedrive plan at no extra cost, listed in Claude's connector directory and added to ChatGPT as a custom app. On October 22, 2026 it had 51 tools that read, search, create and update records one at a time; it can't delete, merge, bulk edit or undo. Pipehand, planned for April 2027, is designed to replace it and add those.

How does the Pipedrive MCP work?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard way for an AI assistant to use another app's tools. Pipedrive runs the server; your assistant connects to it, you sign in to Pipedrive once, and from then on the assistant can call Pipedrive's tools when you ask it something. "Show me my stalled deals" becomes a call to list deals; "log a call with Dana" becomes a call to create an activity.

Which option should you use?

Your situation What to do
You want to ask your AI about deals and contacts, today The official MCP. It's free and built by Pipedrive
You log calls, create a few deals and move stages from your AI The official MCP, checking each change
You need to merge duplicates Pipedrive's Merge duplicates (in the app) or a dedupe tool. No MCP option does it today
You need to change many records at once Pipedrive's bulk edit in list view, today. Pipehand when it launches
You need to undo what an AI, a teammate or Zapier changed Pipedrive's Restore data brings back deleted items and, per Pipedrive, bulk edits, but not one-at-a-time edits or merges. This is what Pipehand is built for
You want an open-source server you run yourself A community server, aware that most use a personal API token and many can delete

How to connect the official MCP

What the official MCP can do

From Pipedrive's tool list, October 22, 2026:

In Pipedrive Read Search Create Update Notes
Deals Yes Yes Yes Yes
People Yes Yes Yes Yes
Organizations Yes Yes Yes Yes
Leads Yes Yes Yes Yes Plus convert a lead to a deal
Activities Yes No Yes Yes
Notes Yes No Yes Yes
Products Yes Yes Yes Yes
Pipeline stages Yes No No No
Email threads Yes No No Some Needs email sync
Projects Yes Yes Yes Yes Needs the Projects add-on
Account context Yes No No No What your user can see in the account

It works well for the kind of request Pipedrive shows on its own page, such as "Show me all open deals over $10K that haven't been updated in two weeks."

What it can't do

As of October 29, 2026, none of the 51 tools:

  • Deletes anything.
  • Merges duplicates.
  • Edits in bulk. An assistant can loop over records, but each one is a separate call, with no preview of the whole set.
  • Shows a preview of a change before writing it, or asks for approval inside Pipedrive. Approvals depend on your AI app (Claude's tool permissions, ChatGPT's confirmations).
  • Undoes a change. The change log shows it. Restore data brings back deleted items for 30 days and, according to Pipedrive's product updates, can revert bulk edits for 30 days since March 2026. Its only revert tabs are Bulk edits and Bulk conversions, with nothing for one-at-a-time edits, which is how an AI changes records through the MCP or the API, and it doesn't reverse merges. We haven't run a bulk edit revert yet (October 29, 2026).
  • Manages pipelines, custom fields, files, followers, filters or sending email.

Pipedrive also didn't publish how many tokens each MCP action costs. A Google AI Overview we saw on October 29, 2026 said the official MCP can "merge" records. Pipedrive's tool list doesn't include a merge tool.

Pipedrive's official MCP vs Pipehand

Pipehand isn't available yet: it's planned to launch in April 2027. The Pipehand column is what it's designed to do, from our product plan. The official MCP column is what Pipedrive documents today.

What the official MCP does better today: it's available now, it's free, and it comes from Pipedrive, so it doesn't add another company to your data path. If you only read and make small edits, it may be all you need.

Pipehand is built for the work the official one leaves out: cleaning duplicates, changing many records at once and getting back to how things were when something goes wrong. Because it's meant to replace the official MCP, you wouldn't connect both.

Other Pipedrive MCP options

Facts from each provider's public page, checked October 29, 2026:

Zapier MCP for Pipedrive Pipedrive actions through Zapier 55 actions listed; no merge or delete of records
Pipedream MCP for Pipedrive Hosted server from Pipedream A list of Pipedrive actions you call from your assistant
Composio Toolkit for agent frameworks Needs setup in code
Open-source servers, such as ckalima/pipedrive-mcp-server Run it yourself Usually a personal API token; many include delete tools

FAQ

Does Pipedrive have an MCP server?

Yes. Pipedrive announced its official MCP server on June 30, 2026. It lives at https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp, works with Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients, and is included in every Pipedrive plan.

Is the Pipedrive MCP free?

Pipedrive doesn't charge for it on any plan. Usage is subject to token limits that depend on your plan, and you can buy more tokens. Pipedrive doesn't publish how many tokens each MCP action costs. Your AI app may need a paid plan.

What is the Pipedrive MCP server URL?

https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp. In Claude you don't need it: search for Pipedrive in Customize > Connectors. In ChatGPT you paste it when you create the app in Developer mode.

Can the Pipedrive MCP delete or merge records?

No. As of October 22, 2026, its 51 tools read, search, create and update, and convert leads to deals. There's no delete, merge or bulk tool, and no undo.

Is the Pipedrive MCP still in beta?

Earlier versions of Pipedrive's setup guides labeled it BETA; the guides updated in October 2026 don't. Pipedrive keeps adding tools: 37 in September 2026, 51 on October 22. The 14 new ones read your account setup, read and link email threads, and manage projects.

Does the Pipedrive MCP work with Cursor or n8n?

Pipedrive says it works with "any assistant that supports custom MCP connections". Sign-in uses OAuth with an allowlist of redirect URIs, so a client Pipedrive hasn't allowed may fail. We haven't tested Cursor or n8n.

For developers

Protocol, other clients, tool names and the API budget
  • Transport: remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. No API token option is documented.
  • Other clients: add https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp as a remote server with OAuth. Pipedrive allowlists OAuth redirect URIs for MCP clients: seven client vendors asked to be added between October 15 and 28, 2026 on the developer community. A client that isn't on the list may fail at sign-in.
  • Tool names (October 22, 2026): getDeals, getDeal, searchDeals, addDeal, updateDeal, the same pattern for persons, organizations, leads and products, getActivities/getActivity/addActivity/updateActivity, getNotes/getNote/addNote/updateNote, getStages/getStage, convertLeadToDeal, getLeadConversionStatus, getAccountContext, eight mail tools (email sync required) and five project tools (Projects add-on).
  • No idempotency: Pipedrive's public OpenAPI files don't mention idempotency keys, so a retried create can create a duplicate. Search before you create.
  • Budget: Pipedrive's API budget is 30,000 tokens a day × plan multiplier × seats (rate limiting docs). Whether MCP calls draw from exactly that budget isn't documented. Measured costs and the reset time: Why Claude used up your Pipedrive API tokens.
